Tips

  • You can immediately upgrade a building or add a garden before first rent comes
  • Mouse over resources to pick them up
  • Don't forget to demolish decorations and buildings for a 50% return of resources (even when already present at the start of the level)
  • On desert levels, non-housing buildings do not need to be near a well
  • Druids and pirates by a bonfire only clear the area for a short period of time.  When the fog returns or the area goes dark, the workers will stop producing and housing will stop making rents
  • However, dovecotes will add to happiness when behind fog and dark
  • As you are cheering up a leprechaun, you can demolish decorations or dovecotes as needed

  • Cabins require 1 workers, costs 25 food and 25 wood, earns 100 gold
  • Cabin upgrade, costs 25 wood and earns 50 gold
  • Cabin gardens, costs 25 food and earns 50 gold and adds 50 happiness

Cottages

  • Cottage requires 2 workers, costs 50 food and 50 wood, earns 150 gold
  • Cottage upgrade, costs 50 wood and earns 75 gold
  • Cottage gardens, costs 50 food and earns 75 gold and adds 50 happiness

Chalets

  • Chalet requires 3 workers, costs 75 food and 75 wood, earns 200 gold
  • Chalet upgrade, costs 75 wood, earns 100 gold
  • Chalet garden, costs 75 food, earns 100 gold and adds 50 happiness

Mansions

  • Not avaiilable to build in this game
  • Some levels have mansions to provide rent and happiness

  • Sawmill: requires 2 workers. costs 1000 gold, wood costs 8 gold per unit and available in 50, 100, and 250 batches with no discount for quantity
  • Market: requires 2 workers, costs 1000 gold, food costs 8 gold per unit and available in 50, 100, and 250 batches with no discount for quantity
  • Bank: requires 2 workers, costs 100 food and 100 wood, adds 50% bonus for each rent, one per level; extra banks are not helpful
  • Dovecote: requires 2 workers, costs 100 food and 100 wood, plus 2 doves costing 50 food each, gives 25 happiness for each house for a total of 50

  • A Little Help from the Druids -- Light fires under 100 druid caldrons
  • Royal Dovecote -- Buy 150 Doves
  • Let There Be Light! -- Repair 100 Lanterns
  • Fog No More -- Repair 100 Obelisks
  • Bee Whisperer -- Build 50 Beehives
  • Food Supply -- Accumulate 10,000 Food on any level  [Level 62 is a good one]
  • You Can't Have Too Much Wood -- Accumulate 10,000 Wood on any level [Level 62]
  • One Click - One Worker -- Catch 20 workers without missing a single one in the Rescue Mission quest (level 8) You don't have to get the first 20, you just can't click and miss so take your time
  • Royal Forester -- Grow 100 palm trees on level 27 (While doing this goal, you can also not pay the pirate to get one of those out of the way)
  • Royal Gardener -- Grow 100 food bushes on level 27
  • No Time to Haggle -- Pay pirate 100,000 gold over the course of the entire game
  • Nobody Goes Hungry -- Give 100,000 to gluttons over the course of the entire game [Level 63]
  • Guarding the Royal Coffers -- Catch all the thieves after the robber at the central bank in level 34  Go into the windowed mode and click off the screen to pause as a thief pops out.  Then you can position your cursor right over the thief and double click and then click off the screen to pause again
  • Say No to Drought! -- Build 50 wells
  • Building on Water -- Create 50 building lots on the water [Level 28]
  • Royal Aim -- Whitewash the rival team in the Snowball Fight
  • Decoration Nation -- Build 100 flowerbeds, 75 gramophones, 50 fountains, and 25 statues [Level 26 works well]
  • Money Can't Buy Happiness -- Earn more than 2,500 happiness on any level without using decorations [Level 57, don't pay 7000 gold pirate and build 5 dovecotes and add gardens to remaining cabins]
  • Fear of Holes -- Complete 5 levels while only using each Rabbit Hole not more than one time on a level [Levels 51,52, 53, 55, 56]
  • A King Does Not Negotiate -- Complete five levels with pirates without paying them [Level 21, 27. 33. 34, 52]
  • Serious Business -- Complete five levels with Leprechauns without making the happy [Levels 30, 31, 32, others come by following walkthrough]
