Opening Story: 

In Echoes of the Past Kingdom of Despair, the witch is up to her wicked ways again as you find yourself transported to her dark kingdom where she has removed all the love and beauty from the land and its citizens. Now, it's up to you to discover a way to reverse the damage she's done, free the land from her evil, and find the hidden amulets that will allow you to return home.

General Tips for Echoes of the Past Kingdom of Despair

Difficulty Settings - There are three difficulty settings in this game, Regular, Advanced, and Expert. In Regular Mode, the hint and skip buttons charge quickly and there are interactive sparkles to indicate active areas. You will also have a tutorial to help you get started and the map will show objectives. In Advanced Mode, the hint and skip buttons charge at a slower rate, there are no sparkles to indicate active areas and there are no objectives on the map. In Expert Mode, there is no hint or skip buttons, no sparkles for active areas, no objectives on the map and no tutorial.

Hand Cursor - When your cursor turns into a hand, it means you can pick up an item and add it to your inventory or interact with an object in some way.

Magnifying Glass - When your cursor turns into a magnifying glass, it means you can zoom in on an area to get a closer look.

Magic Book - Your Magic Book is located in the top left hand corner of your screen. You can find game notes, goals, and observations here.

Menu - The menu button is found in the top left-hand corner of the screen.

Hints - Hints are available throughout the game and can be found in the top right corner to give you help when you need it. Click here if you're stuck. Just remember, these take time to charge before you can use it again.

Inventory - Your inventory can be found at the top of the screen.

Puzzles - During puzzles and mini-games, the skip button will let you skip the puzzle once it's fully charged. The restart button will reset the puzzle to the beginning. The question mark will provide further instructions on how to solve the mini-game.

Navigation Arrow - These will appear when you are able to move to another screen. Click on it to move.

Map - The map can be found in the top right-hand corner. Click on an area to fast travel to it.

Highlighted Areas - These are areas where you will be required to fix a broken item.

Hidden Object Scenes - Once you access a hidden object scene, items in red will require an extra step to find it.
