Palworld Quick-Start: What to Do First

In Palworld, focus on two things first: survive your first nights and build one stable base. Gather basic materials, craft early essentials like a bed and campfire, and place a Palbox as early as you can. The Palbox sets your base area and lets you manage captured Pals so they can handle base jobs. Once that foundation is in place, the early game loop feels much better: gather, craft, capture, and upgrade.

For captures, use Pal Spheres (the item used to catch Pals). Lower a wild Pal’s HP before you throw one to improve your odds. You earn regular Technology Points when you level up, then spend them in the Technology menu to unlock recipes. Early on, take survival and production unlocks first, then grab comfort items later.

Early Base Setup Order (Beginner-Friendly)

A safe order for beginners is: Palbox, Primitive Workbench, bed + Feed Box setup, Berry Plantation, storage, then specialized production stations. Early base progression objectives also guide you through this order, which helps you avoid getting stuck.

Common Beginner Mistakes to Avoid

Don’t expand too fast at the start. One organized, well-fed base is usually stronger than two underbuilt bases early on. Watch Work Suitability (job traits like lumbering, mining, watering, and transporting) so your Pals can automate the right chores. If progress feels slow, that is normal in an early-access survival game. Fix one bottleneck at a time, and your momentum will build quickly.
