Night: Levels 2-1 to 2-10

Our Plants Vs. Zombies Walkthrough is the essential almanac for raising zombie fighting flora that can withstand the hordes attacking your home. We've made sure to include everything the budding zombie fighter will need including detailed information on the types of plants and zombies you'll encounter as well as videos and strategies for each and every level.

Level 2-1

Zombie:  Normal zombies, Newspaper Zombies

Plants:  Sunflower, Puff-Shroom, Peashooter, Wall-Nut, Snow Pea (or Chomper), Potato Mine

  1. Plant Sunflowers as you can afford them
  2. Plant Puffshrooms in the fifth column,
  3. Fill in the fourth and then third column, adding in as Newspaper Zombies arrive
  4. After full column of Sun Flowers, buy Wall-Nuts (6th column) and Peashooters (2nd column)
  5. Place the Puffshrooms to the right of the Wall-Nut Column after you have 3 columns to the left
  6. Receive Sun-Shroom

 

Level 2-2

Zombie:  Zombies, Conehead Zombies, Buckethead Zombies

Plants:  Sun-Shroom, Puff-Shroom, Peashooter, Wall-Nut, Snow Pea, Chomper

  1. Plant Sun-Shrooms as you can afford them
  2. Plant Puffshrooms in the fifth column,
  3. Fill in the fourth and then third column
  4. After full column of Sun-Shrooms, buy Peashooters (2nd column)
  5. Use Puff-Shrooms as barriers until you can afford the Wall-Nuts (6th column)
  6. Place the Puffshrooms to the right of the Wall-Nut Column after you have 3 columns to the left
  7. As you get more Sun, dig up Puffshrooms and plant Snow Peas in the columns that have Bucketheads
  8. Receive Fume-Shroom.  Super handy

 

Upgrade for extra slot for $750 when offered (after Level 2-3 on PC/Mac)

 

Level 2-3

Zombie:  Zombies, Conehead Zombies, Screen Door Zombies

Plants:  Sun-Shroom, Puff-Shroom, Peashooter, Wall-Nut, Snow Pea, Fume-Shroom

  1. Plant Sun-Shrooms as you can afford them
  2. Plant Puffshrooms in the fifth column,
  3. Fill in the fourth column with Puff-Shrooms
  4. After full column of Sun-Shrooms, buy Fume-Shroom (3rd column) and then Pea Shooters (2nd column)
  5. Keep planting Puffshrooms to the right; you won't have long enough to start buying Wall-Nuts
  6. Receive Grave Buster

 

 

Level 2-4

Zombie:  Zombies, Conehead Zombies, Screen Door Zombies; Pole Vaulter

Plants:  Sun-Shroom, Puff-Shroom, Peashooter, Wall-Nut, Snow Pea, Fume-Shroom, Potato Mine

  1. Plant Sun-Shrooms as you can afford them
  2. Plant Puffshrooms in the fifth column,
  3. Fill in the fourth column with Puff-Shrooms
  4. After full column of Sun-Shrooms, buy Fume-Shroom (3rd column) and then Pea Shooters (2nd column)
  5. Keep planting Puffshrooms to the right
  6. Buy Wall-Nuts for in between graves
  7. Let Pole Vaulter jump over Puff-Shrooms
  8. Receive Almanac

 

 

Level 2-5

Whack-a-Zombie

  • Regular Zombies--1 whack
  • Conehead zombies--2 whacks
  • Buckethead Zombies--3 whacks
  • You can buy some Potato Mines if you'd like
  • At Final Wave, just know the lawn mower is going to work and then it will be over.
  • Receive Hypno-Shroom

Upgrade slot for $5000 if on iPad (Wait until after buying Roof Cleaner if playing on PC/Mac)

 

Level 2-6

Zombie:  Zombies, Conehead Zombies, Football Zombie

Plants:  Sun-Shroom, Puff-Shroom, Peashooter, Wall-Nut, Snow Pea, Fume-Shroom, Hypno-Shroom

  1. There is not much time in this level to do a lot of planting
  2. Plant Sun-Shrooms as you can afford them
  3. Plant Puffshrooms in the fifth column,
  4. Fill in the fourth and third column with Puff-Shrooms
  5. After full column of Sun-Shrooms, buy Pea Shooters (2nd column)
  6. Keep planting Puffshrooms to the right
  7. Use Hypno-Shroom to turn back the Football Zombie
  8. Receive Scaredy-Shroom

 

 

Level 2-7

Zombie:  Zombies, Conehead Zombies, Football Zombie, Screen Door Zombie

Plants:  Sun-Shroom, Puff-Shroom, Scaredy-Shroom, Wall-Nut, Fume-Shroom, Hypno-Shroom, Cherry-Bomb

  1. Plant Sun-Shrooms as you can afford them
  2. Plant Puff-Shrooms in the fifth column,
  3. Fill in the fourth column with Puff-Shrooms
  4. After full column of Sun-Shrooms, buy Scaredy-Shrooms (2nd column)
  5. Keep planting Puff-Shrooms to the right
  6. Plant Fume-Shrooms in the 3rd Row
  7. Plant a Wall-Nut in front of the line of gravestones
  8. Dig up 5th row Puff-Shrooms and plant Wall-Nuts
  9. Use Hypno-Shroom to turn back the Football Zombie
  10. Use Cherry Bomb if needed
  11. Receive Ice-Shroom

 

 

Level 2-8

Zombie:  Zombies, Conehead Zombies, Dancing Zombie

Plants:  Sun-Shroom, Puff-Shroom, Scaredy-Shroom, Wall-Nut, Hypno-Shroom, Cherry-Bomb, Chomper

  1. Plant 6 Sun-Shrooms as you can afford them
  2. Plant Puffshrooms in the fifth column,
  3. Fill in the fourth column with Puff-Shrooms
  4. After full column of Sun-Shrooms, buy Scaredy-Shrooms (2nd column)
  5. Keep planting Puff-Shrooms to the right
  6. Plant 2nd column of Scaredy-Shrooms in the 3rd Row
  7. Dig up Puff-Shrooms and plant Wall-Nuts in the 5th row if you have time
  8. Use Hypno-Shroom to turn back the Dancing Zombie if needed
  9. Receive Doom-Shroom

 

 

Level 2-9

Zombie:  Zombies, Conehead Zombies, Dancing Zombie, Screen Door

Plants:  Sun-Shroom, Puff-Shroom, Scaredy-Shroom, Fume-Shroom, Wall-Nut, Hypno-Shroom, Doom-Shroom

  1. Plant Sun-Shrooms as you can afford them
  2. Plant Puff-Shrooms in the fifth column,
  3. Fill in the fourth column with Puff-Shrooms
  4. After full column of Sun-Shrooms, buy Scaredy-Shrooms (2nd column)
  5. Keep planting Puff-Shrooms to the right
  6. Plant 2nd column of Scaredy-Shrooms in the 3rd Row
  7. As Screen Door Zombies come, dig up a Puff-Shroom and plant a Fume-Shroom
  8. Dig up 5th row Puff-Shrooms and plant Wall-Nuts if you have time
  9. Use Hypno-Shroom to turn back the Dancing Zombie if needed
  10. For giggles, use the Doom Shroom in the Final Wave
  11. Receive a note

 

 

Level 2-10

Conveyor Belt 

  • Use the Grave Busters on the farthest left graves
  • Hold off on the Doom-Shrooms until you need them or you need more plants on the conveyor belt
  • Use the Ice-Shroom as you need more room first
  • Save the Hypno-Shrooms as best you can for the Football Zombies
  • Use the Doom Shrooms in the Final Wave to just get it over with
  • Receive Lily Pad
