Fast Workshop Growth Order

In My Time at Sandrock, your Workshop Rank (your place on the Commerce Guild ranking board) is tied to Workshop Reputation. A commission is a timed order from the Commerce Guild board. Completing one usually gives gols, Workshop Reputation, and relationship points. For faster progress, take jobs you can realistically finish before the timer runs out.

When your yard starts feeling cramped, spend early gols on yard expansion before cosmetic home upgrades. You can buy more land from the Expand sign near your workshop fence. That extra space gives you more room for stations and a smoother crafting flow. Also keep an eye on your Water Tank: most workshop machines use water, and production stops when the tank is empty.

Priority Upgrade Loop

Use this order when you have extra gols and materials:

  • Add a second copy of your busiest early machines (often Recycler or Furnace) so one long queue doesn’t clog your whole day.
  • Research or upgrade to the next machine tiers when current output can’t keep up with commissions.
  • Expand the yard again once machine placement starts to feel tight.
  • Save major house projects for later unless they directly help your current goals (comfort, layout, or relationships).

Quick self-check: if your machine queues keep moving and deadlines stop feeling stressful, your workshop is in a strong spot. Pre-craft common parts and keep a small storage buffer so new orders can start immediately.
