Build a Simple, Repeatable Fish Farm Loop
In DAVE THE DIVER, the Fish Farm is a reliable backup source of ingredients for Bancho Sushi. While you catch fish, you can also get roe (fish eggs). Those eggs are sent to the Fish Farm to hatch. Once a tank has two fish of the same species, that species can reproduce over time, which helps refill your stock between dives.
The practical rule is simple: keep breeders, harvest extras. A beginner-friendly setup is to keep two fish per species you want to maintain, then send surplus fish to the restaurant. Also watch tank density. If a tank gets overcrowded, roe/hatching and reproduction can stall until you clear space. For an easy shortcut, use the Fish Farm’s "Keep up to 2" option when you sell or transfer fish.
Daily Checklist Before Service
Before opening Bancho Sushi each day, check the Fish Farm, collect what matured, and send surplus fish to the kitchen. Then build your menu around those ingredients so dishes sell quickly and waste stays low.
If one dish keeps selling out, pause heavy harvesting of that species for a day or two and let the tank rebuild. That steady "grow, then skim surplus" rhythm keeps the farm useful night after night without extra stress.
