Making Mr. Right Review
2010-07-07
Ladies, have you ever longed to create the perfect man? Well, now you can! At least, virtually speaking. In the game Making Mr Right, you get to be the doctor who creates a resort type community to help some poor chaps become lucky in love. The game play is very similar to many other time management games with a few twists. You have a list of goals that you must accomplish within the designated weeks, but you can decide how you want to go about doing it and can go back and forth between the different goals. In the studio is where you train the men in various skills and if you lose some, you can go back to the studio later and try again to train those that you lost. Plus there is a gift shop where you can earn additional boosts and there is a variety of buildings and features that you can add to your resort to increase their love meters. The graphics are well done and very cute. At the end of each set, if you are successful, you will get invitations to lots of weddings from the guys that you have trained. In this particular genre, it is a well made game and I would definitely recommend giving it a try. Though I couldn't help but wonder what us ladies would think if they came out with the same game but titled "Making Miss Right." I have a feeling we would find it pretty off-putting.

Funny Miners Review
2010-07-03
For fourth of July weekend I decided to review Funny Miners. The game play is similar to Farm Frenzy and the strategy is similar as well. Its not quite as well executed as the Farm Frenzy series and the writing (possibly translation?) is a bit off, but if you enjoy the Farm Frenzy series and are looking to do something similar with miners, snakes, and rats instead of sheep and bears, this game is for you.

Robinson Crusoe and the Cursed Pirates Cheats and Walkthrough
2010-07-02
So I decided to do a guide for Robinson Crusoe and the Cursed Pirates. If you liked the first game, then you must play the sequel! This game is a lot of fun. The storyline is good, the graphics and animations are spectacular, and the game play keeps getting better and better. The puzzles vary from easy to hard, but there is a skip feature if you need it. I even liked the part where I had to find seagull poop! Okay, if THAT didn’t get you totally interested in this game, I don’t know what will!

2010-06-21
Long time no see! I have been so busy. I started this guide, Dark Parables: Curse of Briar Rose, when the game released. Here I am, nearly the end of June finally finishing it!

Virtual Villagers 4 Review
2010-05-07
I’m ready for the semester to be over, but I’m trying to decide if I should stay here on the west coast or go home to New Jersey for the summer. Before you even ask, no, I won’t be at the Jersey Shore. There will be no Situations in my life this summer thank you very much. My whole family is back in New Jersey. My mom will be heartbroken if I don’t go home. Sorry to be a downer, on to a happier topic. I finally have time to play games again!!!

Ranch Rush 2 Review
2010-05-02
This is a fun game to play. There's no other way to say it. But then again I really enjoyed the first Ranch Rush. After becoming overwhelmed by the celebrity of her life, Sara heads to the tropics for a vacation. You can guess how long that lasts, right?

Casual Beats: Shmitty, McFunkle & Stump's Beats
2010-04-26
You may not know this but up on the ranch Jasper and I used to throw down some pretty serious beatboxing. My friend facebooked me a link to this fun little Casual Beatboxing flash app called Shmitty, McFunkle & Stump's Beats. If you're a wanna-be like Jasper and me, check it out.

My Life Story Review
2010-04-26
I am a big fan of games where you get to develop your own story. So when I saw the time management game, "My Life Story", I had to give it a try. And it did not disappoint! There is so much about this game that really drew me in.

Royal Envoy Review
2010-04-26
The end of another school year is approaching fast for me. Wow, I can’t believe I’m going to be a senior next year. This week’s distraction from getting my end-of-the-semester projects done: Royal Envoy. Royal Envoy is a resource management building simulator. I have to say I was impressed with the quality and detail of the graphics. If you can actually take time out from your frenetic duties of saving the islands, you’ll notice lots of fun details and little animations in the various game levels. As you make your way through building sawmills, banks, and gardens, the levels get increasing complex. Don’t worry, you can take your time on the various levels if you’d like, but you won’t be awarded with a gold star, which on some levels, is very challenging to achieve. If you enjoy building simulators, you’ll likely enjoy this game, however, I felt it didn’t bring much of anything new to the genre.

Joan Jade and the Gates of Xibalba Cheats and Walkthrough
2010-04-09
Hey gamers! Sorry for the delay. The guide I'm bringing you this month is...Joan Jade and the Gates of Xibalba! You might remember awhile back we had an interview with the creators of this game. Well, it's a great game! I loved the graphics, the cut scenes had some depth that's hard to describe, like 3D, but not. The storyline was great, the puzzles were great, the mini-games were great, it was just GREAT! I highly recommend this game to hidden object and adventure game lovers.

Simplz Zoo Walkthrough
2010-03-29
If you like really cute animals, The Sims and playing games like Bejeweled, you’ll love this game. You have to build and maintain grandpa’s zoo. Buy animals, build concessions and don’t forget to place and trash bins. Play the match game (similar to Bejeweled) to earn cash, food, materials, zoo points and research. There are tons of bonuses and power ups. Take the time to learn what each does and how they can best help you. Check my guide to see all the different codes.

Doors of the Mind: Inner Mysteries Review
2010-03-29
Big news, I now love NCAA Basketball. Did you know the NCAA Basketball tournament started yesterday? Do you care? I don’t care about it at all and I know nothing about basketball, but everyone was picking teams to win on their bracket thingies so I decided to play too.

Secret Mission: The Forgotten Island
2010-03-19
Spring has sprung in Northern California. Almond and fruit trees are in bloom and the temperature is rising. So nice! Of course with spring comes the dreaded daylight savings. Try as I might I have never learned to live with it. I just put up with it till fall. Any way the north wind has come up today with a vengeance so it is a good day to play a new game. This game has a ho-hum little story so I am just going to skip it and get right to the game.

Annie's Millions
2010-03-12
SO the tutor came on Tuesday and we discussed the last three chapters. Well, two of the three, I never finished the third chapter. I loved discussing the chapters with him because he has such a great voice, but I would have rather discussed other things with him. You know, like what movie he wants to take me to see this weekend, what his favorite songs are, does he want an indoor or out outdoor wedding! OMG! I guess I’m getting a little ahead of myself.

Awakenings: The Dreamless Castle Cheats and Walkthrough
2010-03-09
Here is the guide I promised you, Awakenings: The Dreamless Castle. What can I say about this game? Wow! It had great graphics, absolutely beautiful, a storyline that kept me interested the entire way through, and it left me wanting more! I thoroughly enjoyed this game more than I have the past few. It was just fantastic and I hope we see more like it, or a sequel!

Love Story Letters from the Past Review
2010-03-09
So…he still doesn’t know, but I’m still dreaming about my Econ “tutor”…oh, sorry, I’m back now. Anyway, since I’m such a romantic, when I saw the game Love Story: Letters from the Past, I had to check it out.

Sarah Maribu and the Lost World Cheats and Walkthrough
2010-02-28
I finished Sarah Maribu and the Lost World already! The game has great graphics, but pretty basic game-play. It's a hidden object game, with lots of hidden objects that will vary for everyone. Then there are you inventory items that you need to interact with something else in the game. Usually, this means opening a door, gate, cage, etc. The puzzles weren't overly hard and most you could skip. Finding the items could be tough at times, but the hardest part sometimes was figuring out where to use your inventory objects. Don't worry, they are all outlined for you! The plot was very weak but the game was still enjoyable. I mean, come on, what parents are going to let their daughter and her boyfriend run off with their crazy uncle to an unknown island to explore it... alone?! Not mine! I mean, if I had a boyfriend. Anyway, I do recommend this game.

Diner Dash 5 Review
2010-02-27
The “tutor” had to cancel today, and although I promised him I’d study… When I saw Diner Dash 5: Boom Collector’s Edition come out, I decided to give the restaurant biz a try! After all, that’s Economics too, right?

The Clumsy's Butterfly Effect Cheats and Walkthrough
2010-02-21
I finally finished The Clumsy's: Butterfly Effect. This the second game in this fun series. It differs some from the first game, but not in a bad way. There are three new gadgets you can use and you get to travel through time putting back together inventions! The layout is much easier than the first game and they seem to have polished it up in that area. However, it's lacking some of the extra fun the first game had. This is pretty much a straight hidden object game. In fact there are 30 levels! That may not sound like a lot, but within each level, are anywhere from 4 to 6 hidden object areas to solve. Needless to say, this is a very long game! However, if you enjoyed the first one, then by all means, buy this one!

Penny Dreadfuls Sweeny Todd Review
2010-02-20
I have been staying pretty close to home during our latest storms. Most of the roads have been closed at one time or the other so you don’t want to go too far or you may not be able to get home for a day or two. My little dog Lulu loves to take a walk but hates the rain so it has been a struggle because she won’t wear any kind of sweater or coat. The trials and tribulations of owning a pet! So with time on my hands I have been playing games. Penny Dreadfuls Sweeny Todd is one of the best. You play a detective trying to catch up with a guy who is killing people and then having his girlfriend bake them into pies. Ugh!!I thought I might as well tell you that right at the beginning. If you can get past that you will have a good time playing.

Alice’s Tea Cup Madness Review
2010-02-07
Excuse me… I’ve just had tea with the queen… and how did you spend your afternoon?? That’s what I thought… certainly not as exciting as my afternoon… but we can’t all be privileged to dine with royalty.

Midnight Mysteries: The Edgar Allen Poe Conspiracy Cheats and Walkthrough
2010-02-07
Well, it’s one of those days where you just want to curl up in bed with a good book or a good movie. Cloudy, with a steady drizzle to lull you into a happy place. Even my son, who’s normally bouncing around about this time is quietly playing with his toys.

Vacation Mogul Review
2010-01-26
So this weekend I had a blast. Pristine white beaches, blue-green ocean as far as the eye can see, some hottie boy bringing me drinks in my beach cabana. It was like a dream come true.

Virtual City Review
2010-01-25
My son is now at an age where he is very interested in playing games and activities on the computer. He loves cars and trucks so, in looking for a computer game in that genre, I came across Virtual City. I set it up for him and let him go. I figured he would like it, but he loved it! So I thought I would give it a try myself. I was initially very captivated by the graphics. Watching all the vehicles driving their various routes was fun to watch. The intro movie is well done and the city itself has some great detail. Best of all was the challenge in creating the city and helping it to thrive. There are upgrades that give you new structures to add to your city and improve the quality of your existing structures. So though I had originally downloaded this game to entertain my son, I found myself just as engrossed in it. Now we each have our own profile on the game, and we have to address another challenge together, learning to take turns. :)

Tinseltown Dreams: The 50s Review
2010-01-22
I used to love to go to the movies . See a good movie, most of the time, visit with all your friends and eat Dots and Popcorn. All for a good price. The last time I went to a movie I walked out before I went totally deaf and froze to death. Good Grief. Now I prefer to watch in the comfort of my own heated or cooled just right living room. The food is much better, my chair is comfy and I don’t have to go to the bank and get a loan to buy a ticket,

Mahjong Memoirs Review
2010-01-22
I don’t know why I don’t play Mahjong more often. Every time I try a new mahjong game I have a great time. This game was no exception. It has a great story to go along with the game and the graphics are stunning. It is worth downloading just to read the story and see the beautiful scenery. There are several ways to play this latest game. So many in fact that I am not even going to attempt to tell you about them, I would only confuse you. As I have told you before I am not an expert at this game. But that doesn’t keep me from enjoying it. There is a wonderful Japanese lady that gives you lessons at the beginning of the game if you are a novice like me. This game has high replay value in my opinion.

Dig Dug Review
2010-01-22
In the mountains where I grew up there was a one-room school, a bar, and a fire department. That was it. So needless to say entertainment options were limited. When Dig Dug showed up in the "arcade" (let the reader understand the corner of the bar), we were all pretty excited. We played that game through the late hours of the night while our parents did who knows what.

Farm Frenzy 3: American Pie Review
2010-01-19
OK… so I’m a sucker for the farming games… and especially the Farm Frenzy games. They are probably the time management games that challenges me the most. So when I saw that Farm Frenzy 3: American Pie came out… I HAD to play it.

Artist Colony Review
2010-01-16
Well… I’m back here at school. Vacation was awesome… if a bit frigid. At least I got to see some snow for Christmas! Mom was great of course… cooked all of my favorite meals. She tried to get me to take some back with me, but I told her it would be a little hard to smuggle lasagna on the plane.

Escape the Museum 2 Cheat and Walkthrough
2010-01-06
Hey gamers, its me again! Yes, I have another guide for you already! Okay, I have a confession to make. Besides not having a life, I had started this guide and was half way through with Dire Grove and then WMC 3 released. I was so excited about those two games, I pushed this one aside until I was finished. So... all I had to do was finish the other half!

Women's Murder Club 3 Cheats and Walkthrough
2010-01-06
In usual WMC fashion, this was a great game with great plot and a ton of fun. You even get to play Jill this time! I didn't actually find the game that "hard" or maybe I'm just getting used to how the writers think. The other thing lacking is the time it takes to play it. As you can see it didn't take me long to whip out a game guide for it.

Westward IV All Aboard Review
2009-12-19
Oh thank goodness… Finals are over and I’m headed home! My flight is tomorrow back to Jersey. I hear they are getting some serious snow back east. I hope it doesn’t mess with my flight, because there is no way I’m spending the holidays here by myself. Most everyone has already gone home for the holidays, so the dorms are pretty quiet.

Trio: The Great Settlement Review
2009-12-16
It’s a beautiful rainy day in our Northern California neighborhood. This makes us all very happy. The grass is growing, the lakes are filling up, which makes the Honkers happy and it is snowing in the mountains which makes the skiers happy. Also, rain makes me want to bake. That makes me happy. Cookies, Rum Cakes, and little loaves of all different kinds of bread. Alas, I also eat these things. But that is an area which I choose to ignore for now. When I am not baking and I am through with my chores of the day am looking for an interesting Match 3 to play.

Murder She Wrote Review
2009-12-15
As many of you know, I blog is for seniors. And I am pretty sure that no self-respecting senior has missed Murder She Wrote on T.V. Angela Landsbury been wonderful as the snoopy Jessica Fletcher. It was the longest running Crime –Drama show on T.V. It ran for 12 years. I still watch the reruns. This game is perfect for fans of the show or for people that like an excellent Hidden Object Game. There are 5 cases to solve. Each featuring Jessica Fletcher and some of her old buddies on the show. What great fun. The voices are really good and the graphics are excellent. With so many cases to solve, you really get your money’s worth with this game. Also there are really good mini games and puzzles along the way. You can play the game in timed or relaxed mode, so push yourself or relax and have a good time. Most of the objects you are asked to find relate to the crime scene, but some do not. The first thing I liked to find were the letters missing on the typewriter. The vowels- A E I O U and Y. Then the typewriter ribbon will fill up your hint button faster. By the way if you decide to skip a mini game or puzzle, it will add 30 minutes to your time if you care about that sort of thing. I really like this game. Everything about it is done extremely well. You must download it and give it a go. You will not be disappointed.

Hotel Dash Suite Success Cheats and Walkthrough

Poor Flo, I think she needs to see a counselor for her compulsive need to help others. Her latest effort is to flip hotels in an effort to help her friends find romance. Although I was sad for Flo, I was again instantly hooked into this game. Its different enough from the Diner Dash series that you don't feel like your playing just another Diner Dash game. You'll find lots of new challenges (and challenging customers as well) and its not likely you'll pass the levels on your first go around. So check it out and if you get stuck, check out our guide (Thanks, Kristi!).

Ok… so I know this guide has been a long time coming, but well it was my first guide so I’ve been kind of nervous about it and I wanted it to be good… I hope everyone likes it! Gardenscapes Review
2009-12-02
Oh sweet bliss. I am like a little dumpling all warm and cozy and stuffed to my heart’s content. Man, it’s good to be home and eating mom’s cooking again. There is a chance I may have overdone it already but I don’t care. I’m like a bear going into hibernation. I need to pack all the goodness into me so I can make it through the upcoming finals.

Hotel Dash Suite Success Review

Well… it happened. I had to come back to school. I’m like a stuffed turkey that had been in the warm, inviting oven and now I have been cruelly taken out and put back into the cold… Ok well technically it’s a lot warmer here then Jersey… but I’m trying to give you an idea of how it feels to leave mom’s home cooking…

Princess Isabella A Witch's Curse Cheakts and Walkthrough
2009-11-15
What can I say about this game that hasn't already been covered in the previous review? Well, I'll give you my thoughts. I loved it! The graphics were very good, the sound excellent, the story intriguing, and not too easy, not too hard. Now the little fairy that helps you has a slightly annoying voice after awhile. She likes to exclaim, "You've broken the curse, yeah!" Cute at first, but over and over, oi. I kept expecting her to say, in a very valley girl voice, "You've like totally solved the curse, like you know!" She never did.
