Well, it's that time of year again, and there's an exciting chill in the air as the holidays descend, in all their glorious caloric splendor, upon us. It's time for roasting turkeys, decorating the house in obscene amounts of twinkling lights, and hiding candy canes around the house for... you know... when I need a snack.
And even though this year is slightly damped by the fact that we are dealing with tons of emotional family chaos and the fact that my husband and I must spend this Thanksgiving week in the hospital for his second round of chemo, I'm determined to still try to get a little pleasure out of this holiday season.
So naturally, I'm looking forward to the release of the new Mystery Case Files game, which, if the rumors are true, will be released on Thanksgiving Day... (a day earlier for all you game club members). Rumors also tell me that this new addition to the popular series will have us revisiting a previous case... Madame Fate's to be exact, and that the new title is Mystery Case Files: Fate's Carnival.

For those of you who just want a quick recap of Madame Fate, here it is... Madame Fate is a fortune teller at Fate's Carnival who has gazed in the depths of her crystal ball and seen her own unfortunate demise. Here's where you come in, of course, as the mysterious Madame summons you, the Master Detective, to help her discover who is behind the plans to end the fortune teller's life.
Now, years later, you once again find yourself at the very creepy gates of Fate's Carnival and the dear Madame we love to hate has returned from the dead to challenge us once more with our most difficult case yet! This time, you'll pair up with her cat, Isis, (also the name of my cat!) as you explore the carnival in classic Mystery Case Files gameplay.
