Is everyone else as sick of Winter as I am? I mean, c'mon! Enough with the snow already!! ((sigh)) Yeah... I'm just counting the days til Spring gets here and I can start this year's garden. Hahaha! Yeah, I bet you never thought I'd be the kind of chick who has a green thumb but I do! That's why I thought I'd give Magic Seeds a try. You know, so I can get prepared for this year's growing season.

These brick-busting games have really come a long way from arkanoid and breakout. They apparently just use a random name generator for the latest generation, such as Hyperballoid 2. Since I'm unclear what a balloid is, a hyper one is well beyond me. However, the entertainment value of this game was high. I'd recommend it for anyone that needs a reason to not do homework, needs something to do while your roommate insists on watching Project Runway, or for a thirty minute break from life.

For those of use who don't have a nintendo DS - finally there's a way to play brain age wihtout it. New this week: Brainversity - a game, which I admit I'm not so good at, which you can use to exercise your brain everyday.

Greeting fellow gamers! If you've wondered where I've been since my last post, I've been stuck in the 20's... The Roaring 20's, that is. Well, no. Actually, I've been sitting in front of my computer, totally addicted to a game that takes place in the 20's... Chocolatier 2.

I've been getting into these "defense" games lately like "Master of Defense". The latest one I've discovered is "Garden Defense". It has more twists than Master of Defense, like the ability to move your defense towers. Be sure to check it out. A walkthough has been posted as well.

Big Fish Games and Reflexive both released Farm games recently. Reflexive released "My Farm" and Reflexive released "My Exotic Farm". I decided to see what this was all about. Turns out they are basically identically, its just that My Exotic Farm features animals that are a little more unconventional. I found My Exotic Farm slightly more challenging, but not by much. So if you have to pick between the two, I say go with My Exotic Farm.

The game industry has surpassed the music industry for the first time. The spending is up 43% from 2006.

I am somewhat of a "clothes horse." One look in my tiny dorm room closet and you'll see that I definitely have a passion for fashion!

Amaranth Games has a released the sequel to their much acclaimed Aveyond Fantasy action-adventure game. The music and graphics are great, better than the first, in my opinion. The nice thing is the battling style is similar to the first and there are many great side-quests. The story line of Aveyond 2 draws you in as well.

When I was a freshman in High School, my older sister showed me a game her college friend had emailed her called "Elf Bowling." It was a crudely animated bowling game filled with crude lil' elves that taunted us with popular statements of the day like "Yippie Ki Yay!" and "My name is Elfigo Montoya. You killed my brothers. Prepare to die."

Similarly to Lara, I have my own fond connections with a recent game release linked to memories of high school. I came down with mono my sophomore year and one of the satellite stations was having a Dirty Dancing marathon. I must have seen it five or six times that week.

I grew up on a ranch, which is actually quite different than a farm, but I still had to try out Farm Frenzy. I've never heard of bears on a dairy farm, but I guess its a serious problem in this game's version of reality.

I think I've finally reconciled my addiction to these time management games. I mean, why do I slave away at these low paying service jobs only to come home and spend my free time ~pretending~ to work at a low paying service jobs? The answer: Pffft! I have no idea... but I can live with that.

I finally got around to opening the latest issue of Wired today...

I looked at my toothbrush the other day and realized there was mold on the handle. Yuck. So I went to the toothbrush aisle at Target and after about an hour of staring blankly trying to see past all the super-bright, swirly colors, I found the colgate 360. I have to say I'm impressed. I like how the bristles gently slide up to my gums.

Ricochet: Lost Worlds is a game that came with my new HP. I'm inbetween RPG games right now and decided to try it out. This is definitely not your grandma's brick buster game! Try it out - I promise you'll be entertained and blown away by the creativity and challenge of the levels.
