Mystery Case Files Walkthrough

Opening Story:

In Mystery Case Files: Fate's Carnival, you find yourself returning to a previous case, the famous Madame Fate and Fate's Carnival. The old Madame is back from the dead with a very important task for you... free the cursed prisoners of Fate's Carnival, placed in bondage by her rival Alistair years ago. Can you find and help save each of the carnivals' inhabitants before it's too late or will you be another victim to fate? Find out in this much anticipated hidden object game.

General Tips for Mystery Case Files: Fate's Carnival

Difficulty -There are 5 difficulty levels to choose from in Fate's Carnival: Easy Knieval, Swallow Hard, Difficult Detective, Monstrously Hard, and Alistair's Watch. Easy Knieval is for new or casual players who want a more relaxed play session. All the significant game locations are marked with sparkles and the hint button quickly recharges. Swallow Hard is for players who like to do things the hard way, without any extra help. The hint button takes longer to recharge and there are no sparkle indicators. Difficult Detective is for those difficult sorts who can't handle any help. There is no hint feature, no mini game skip function, and no sparkle indicators. Monstrously Hard is scary hard with no hints skips or sparkles. The cursor won't change over active areas. Alisters Watch mode comes with time limits. Choose it only if you dare. The mode is unlocked after you complete the game.

Magnifying Glass - When you can zoom into an area, your cursor will change to a magnifying glass.

Hand - When you can pick up an item and add it to your inventory, your cursor will change to a hand. This also indicates an area where you can interact with an object.

Gears - When your cursor turns to gears, it means you can use an item from your inventory.

Hint Button - If you're stuck and don't know what to do next, click on the hint button in the bottom right. Just remember, these take time to charge once you use them and are only available in certain modes.

Menu - To access the menu, click on the menu bottom in the bottom left hand corner of your screen.

Inventory - Your inventory is located at the bottom of your screen. Hover your mouse over the area to display it. Click on the padlock on the right to lock it.

Hidden Object Game - Sparkles will indicate a hidden object area. Items listed in blue require an extra step to locate them.

Secret Cards - In the collector's edition, there are 20 secret cards to find. You can play solitaire with them in the bonus section of the game.

Tasks - The task bar is located above the inventory bar and will list all your current tasks.

Case Files - Your case files are located in the bottom left hand corner of your screen. Click on it to access the map, the shop for Isis, the prisoner's you've rescued, and your bobblehead collection.

Mini-Games - Once you've found a mini-game, the counter to skip will begin. This is located in the bottom right hand corner. Once the countdown hits 0, you will be able to skip the game. You'll also find the reset and information button above the skip button. In some games, there is a puzzle hint button. This will provide a clue as to what to do next to solve the puzzle.

Isis - Isis the cat will help you solve the case of Fate's Carnival by obtaining hard to reach items for you. You'll also be able to purchase her items in the shop with Old Pounds you find throughout the game.

Diary - Your diary is located in the bottom right corner of your screen. Important information will be added to the diary as you play, so be sure to check here if you need a hint.

Navigation Arrow - When you can move to another screen, your cursor will change to an arrow.

Map - The map is found in the Case Files. Click a scene to fast travel.
