Opening Story:

In Fairly Twisted Tales: The Price of a Rose, you play the part of a detective who’s been called in by a man whose daughter has promised to spend her life with a beast. The promise was made to save the man’s life, so he is desperate to find someone who can help rescue his daughter. Now, it’s your job to find the scroll that may be the key to her freedom, but while you investigate you begin to wonder... Is there more to this tale than meets the eye?

General Tips for playing Fairly Twisted Tales: The Price of a Rose

Difficulty – Two modes: Casual and Challenge. In Casual Mode the hint and skip buttons charge quickly, hints will be very clear, there are no penalties for rapid clicking, and active areas will be indicated by glimmering sparkles. In Expert mode the hint and skip buttons charge more slowly, hints are more vague, there is a penalty for rapid clicking, and active areas are not indicated by sparkles.

Arrow Cursor – An arrow appears it means you can move in that direction.

Hand Cursor – When your cursor turns into a hand it means you can pick up an item and add it to your inventory.

Magnifying Glass Icon -  When your cursor becomes a magnifying glass it means you can zoom into an area to get a better look.

Speech Bubble -  When your cursor turns into a speech bubble it mean you can talk with that person.

Puzzle Pieces -  When puzzle pieces appear at the base of your cursor it means you need to use an item from your inventory on whatever your cursor is over.

Hidden Object Scenes -  Hidden object scenes will be indicated by sparkles.

Inventory -  Your inventory can be found at the bottom of the screen.

Hints -  The hint button in the lower right hand corner of your screen just below the map. Just remember, the button takes time to charge before you can use it again

Map -  The map is in the lower right hand corner of your screen just above the hint button.

Journal – Your journal can be found in the lower left hand corner of your screen near the menu; it has a journal, which has the story so far, and your objectives.

Menu -  The menu button is located at the bottom left portion of your screen.

Skip -  During mini-games, if you are having trouble or maybe you just don't feel like solving it, you can click on the skip button.
