Since I had such a good time playing the latest Fabulous Angela game, I was excited to see another storyline in the same world with Amber’s Airline: 7 Wonders. In this game, you star as Amber, a spunky young woman who’s ready to embark on the trip of a lifetime to visit all 7 Wonders of the World on the latest trip by Snuggford Airlines.

After having to leave her beloved fish, Sushi, (great name for a fish btw), with her mother, Amber races off to her new adventure. You begin by serving guests on the plane in a sort of lounge area. None of the plane trips I’ve ever taken had a lounge on board, so it was kind of hard to relate, but I know they exist and I realize these passengers have way more money than I could ever dream of. Just once I’d love to fly business class instead of being crammed in coach with my arm as a pillow... I mean... look at that lounge!!!

Ambers Airlines 7 Wonders Game

The first stop the airline makes is to Rome where you’ll be stationed outside the Colosseum. Here you’ll show guests around, serve them gelato, take their photos, and answer any general questions they may have. Now, if you ask me, this all sounds more like a cruise to me than an airline, but I guess serving guests drinks from the drink cart and cleaning up crushed crackers from the floor wouldn’t make much of a game, so we’re going for the more glamorous travel concept.

Graphics and Artwork

Just as in the Fabulous games, the artwork in Amber’s Airline: 7 Wonders is really well done for a time management game. The characters were extremely animated, I just loved all the facial expressions that really carried the story forward in the game. I did wish the scenery would change a bit more in each location, but it does seem like for each country, you are stuck at one location for the entire stay.

So while in Rome, you’re going to be spending your time in front of the Colosseum the entire time. Which, on one hand, it’s good, because you get to know where all the stations are, but I think a nice touch would have been to have set up in front of other exciting places in Rome.

Sound and Music

The music was great in the game, nothing too annoying or bubbly that you felt you needed to turn it off to give your ears a break. It was non intrusive and kept up the energy of the game.

The sounds on the other hand… just as in Fabulous Angela, I did get tired of all the characters yelling out the same thing over and over again. There’s only so many times you can hear Amber yell out “Great!” before you want to make her go sit in the corner for some quiet time.

Gameplay

Gameplay was pretty standard for this type of game. If you’ve played any of the other Fabulous games or Delicious games, you’ll be able to jump right in. The only issue I had was in the beginning when I didn’t know where certain items were located. They never walked you through where to find everything, so a customer would ask for something, and I wasn’t sure where the item was at first. After a few levels, of course, you quickly get acclimated to everything, and they do introduce new items by showing you where they are first.

There are tons of levels in this game, as you do travel all over the world to 7 destinations. Plus there are some fun mini-levels where you have to either find the mouse like a whack a mole game, or move customers from station to station or you have to achieve certain objectives. These games will land you diamonds, which you can spend on getting new fancy uniforms, designed by non other than Fabulous Angela herself.

Overall, Amber’s Airline is just your basic clicking game and how fast you can queue up your commands. It was nice that when customers wanted to go to a station, Amber didn’t need to walk over to them and bring them there, all you had to do was click on the customer and then click on the station and they would go there themselves.

I do think Amber’s Airlines: 7 Wonders was much easier to play then Fabulous: Angela True Colors. I found the boards much more manageable and was pretty easily getting all 3 stars on the boards.

Do I Want to Keep Playing?

Definitely yes, but I will tell you it really wasn’t the gameplay on this one that kept me captivated. If anything, I do think it was a step below other games I’ve played in this world.

However, the story was pretty intriguing… they kept throwing in drama, it was almost like watching a soap opera unfold. There was Pamela, who was dating a passenger, even though it was against the rules, and he didn’t want her to tell anyone… super suspicious there. And Karen, who is engaged to the pilot who’s worried that her wedding won’t be as good as her sister’s wedding because her parents’ keep making underhanded comments about it. And then there are the passengers Faith and Ethel, where we know that Faith has been sick recently and doesn’t seem to be fully recovered and is hiding it from her wife. Oh and let’s not forget Amber who found a keychain with a photo of her from her 5th birthday that belongs to one of the passengers… but who could it be??

One thing we do know... You’ll never discover the truth unless you give Amber’s Airlines: 7 Wonders a try. To download the game for free and play for up to 60 minutes, click on the install button above!
