SNOW ISLAND

LEVEL 4.1 FIRST SNOW

Tasks: Reinforce 4 Sections of Ice

Given Resources: 0 zip nada nothing

Bonuses: One-plus resource

Strategies and Info: There is no warehouse available on this level therefore no more than 20 of each resource can be collected at one time. Each section of reinforced ice takes 8 wood and 5 food. This one is so easy it really doesn't need any instruction. One worker can easily complete the level before nightfall. Only one or two trees need to be cleared on the south road.

•  Collect all the available resources.

•  Construct the sawmill (5 wood).

•  Clear one pile of branches on the road that leads south.

•  Construct the fisherman's hut (8 wood).

•  Clear the branches along the road leading to the exit until the bonus becomes available.

•  Collect available resources using the resource bonus as the resources and/or the bonus becomes available.

•  Finish clearing the road of branches leading to the exit and upgrade the sawmill (8 wood) and fisherman's hut (10 wood) when enough wood has been collected.

•  Reinforce the 4 sections of ice (8 wood/5 Food).

LEVEL 4.2 SNOWY FOREST

Tasks: Repair 2 Bridges

Given Resources: 0...absolutely nothing

Bonuses: Additional worker; Workers walk faster; Stop Clock for 10 seconds

Strategies and Info: There are 4 piles of snow that will need to be removed from the road leading to the exit. It takes 3 gold and 7 food to remove each pile of snow. There is no market or mine or gold chests so all the gold will come from the bottomless coffer; therefore it's best to upgrade the warehouse to the max. Use the bonus of your choice. Building the farm and upgrading to a cottage are not necessary...but build them if you prefer and you have the wood.

•  Collect the available resources and construct the sawmill (5 food). If the southern road extension is cleared and repaired to the wood supply; the level might not be completed before nightfall.

•  Remove the branches along the road leading to the exit. When there is 10 wood accumulated, construct the warehouse.

•  Upgrade the warehouse (12 wood) and the sawmill (8 wood).

•  Repair the fisherman's hut.

•  Clear the pile of branches in front of the food resources on the south extension of the north road opposite the fisherman's hut.

•  Clear the snow from the road leading to the exit and then repair the 2 bridges.

LEVEL 4.3 INSIDIOUS SNOWFLAKES

Task: Repair 1 Bridge

Given Resources: None

Bonuses: Workers work faster; Workers walk faster; One-plus resource bonus

Strategies and Info: This level can be completed before nightfall if you don't clear and repair the extension road that leads east or the area mid-north on the cracked ice. The resources needed to repair and clear are greater than the rewards. Repair the extension in the southwest corner only. A gray cloud will appear periodically, quickly and repeatedly click on the cloud to explode. A temple will need to be constructed to rid of the ghosts. There is no mine or market available so all gold will need to come from the coffer and gold chests. There are several rock piles to remove costing 12 gold and 10 food ea. to remove.

•  Collect the available resources except the gold not blocking the roads and construct the sawmill (5 wood). Collect all gold using the resource bonus.

•  Clear the branches along the road that leads towards the exit.

•  Construct the warehouse after 10 additional wood has been collected.

•  Upgrade the sawmill (8 wood) and construct the farm (10 wood).

•  Continue to clear and repair the road leading to the exit.

•  Upgrade the warehouse (12 wood).

•  Repair the one section extension in the southwest and collect those resources using the resource bonus. Use the bonuses of your choice during the rest of the level.

•  Upgrade the farm; construct the temple (15 wood); then upgrade to the cottage (10 wood).

•  Clear the piles of snow and repair the bridge leading to the exit.

LEVEL 4.4 ICE-COVERED BRIDGES

Tasks: Gather 20 Gold; 20 Wood; 20 Food; Remove 4 Boulders

Given Resources: None

Bonuses: Workers work faster; One-plus resource

Strategies and Info: In case you missed the opening information, there is no warehouse available; therefore no more than 20 of each resource can be gathered at a time. Each boulder that needs to be removed will take 12 gold and 10 food to remove. The barracks will need to be constructed using 15 wood. After clearing the exit, you'll need to wait until 20 of each resource have been collected.

•  Collect the 2 food blocking the road in the starting area, then collect the 2 piles of wood and construct the sawmill (5 wood). Collect the gold chest blocking the crossroads.

•  Clear the 2 piles of branches to the west of the crossroads.

•  Construct the farm (10 wood).

•  Repair the 2 sections of the north road leading to the exit.

•  Collect the available resources, except gold using the resource bonus.

•  Upgrade the sawmill (8 wood) and the farm (12 wood).

•  Clear the road leading to the exit.

•  When 15 wood is accumulated, construct the barracks.

•  Collect 1-2 gold using the resource bonus making sure to not gather over 20 total.

•  Upgrade to a cottage(10 wood).

•  Remove the piles of snow using 3 gold and 7 food ea.

•  Repair the bridge.

•  Remove one boulder while repairing the one section of road on the south extension leading to the 4 gold chests off the north road leading to the exit. This should allow the gold and food to accumulate so the next boulder can be removed.

•  Remove the next boulder.

•  Repair the south bridge leading to the 5 gold chests; again allowing time for a bonus recharge and to accumulate gold and food.

•  Upgrade the farm to (12 and 15 wood) and sawmill (8 and 12 wood) to the max.

•  Collect the 4 gold off the north road extension using the resource bonus. Assign one worker to remove a boulder near the exit right before 20 gold is collected and have the other worker collect the rest of the gold.

•  Send one worker to remove the last boulder and the other worker to repair the 2 sections of road off the southwest extension.

•  Collect enough gold, food and wood to gather 20 of each item.

LEVEL 4.5 GHOSTS AND BEARS

Tasks: Gather 20 Gold; Gather 20 Wood; Gather 20 Food; Repair 3 Bridges

Given Resources: 10 Gold; 10 Wood; 10 Food

Bonuses: Additional Worker; Workers work faster; Stop Clock for 10 seconds

Strategies and Info: A temple (15 wood) and a barracks (15 wood) will need to be constructed. The dark cloud is back! All areas of the scene need to be repaired and cleared. All buildings need to be constructed and completely upgraded. In order to complete this level before nightfall, most of the actions need to be completed in the following order. Use the bonus of your choice. Early in the level there may not be enough resources to allow an extra worker. The stop clock is the most favored bonus.

•  Construct a warehouse (10 wood).

•  Wait until the warehouse is completed, then collect all the resources. Collect the resources as they replenish throughout this level.

•  Construct the sawmill (5 wood).

•  Clear the area leading to the bear and the fisherman's hut in the northwest; while upgrading the warehouse (12 wood) first then the sawmill (8 wood).

•  Clear the one pile of branches leading to the ghost at the crossroads w/the food resources.

•  Clear and repair the road leading south to the exit and the fisherman's cottage while upgrading the warehouse (15 wood) and the sawmill (12 wood) and constructing the barracks (15 wood) and the temple (15 wood).

•  Repair the bridge and clear the road to the fisherman's hut in the northwest. If you need some food grab some at the crossroads where the ghost was. Upgrade to a cottage (10 wood) while clearing the road.

•  Repair the roads leading to the food supply at the crossroads while repairing the fisherman's hut. Make sure to collect the gold as soon as you can so it will replenish. This chest of gold is sometimes the one thing you need to complete the level by nightfall.

•  Upgrade to a lodge (20 wood).

•  Repair and clear the roads towards the exit and the fisherman's cottage giving preference to the road to the fisherman's cottage when supplies are low as you need lots of food to clear the road to the exit plus gather 30 food.

LEVEL 4.6 DANGEROUS TRAIL

Tasks: Gather 50 Gold; Gather 50 Wood; Gather 50 Food; Reinforce 8 Sections of Ice

Given Resources: 15 Gold; 15 Wood; 15 Food

Bonuses: One-plus resource; Additional Worker; Workers walk faster

Strategies and Info: Each section of reinforced ice takes 8 wood and 5 food to repair. This is a challenging level to complete before nightfall. You'll need to build a barracks (15 wood) to gain access to the exit. All buildings will need to be constructed except the fishing enterprise. Don't bother clearing and repairing the road leading to the fishing enterprise. ALL the other buildings will need to be upgraded to the max. Collect most of the resources using the resource bonus. There is no market or mine, therefore all gold needs to come from the coffer and the resources.

•  Construct the farm (10 wood) and the sawmill (8 wood).

•  Collect the wood by the sawmill.

•  Clear 2-3 piles of the snow and ice.

•  Construct the warehouse when 10 wood is gathered.

•  Clear one pile of branches and as the worker is almost to the shack activate the resource bonus; then collect the resources available after the warehouse is constructed.

•  Continue to clear the road to the north leading to the abandoned sawmill. Upgrade the farm when 12 wood is collected then; upgrade the warehouse when 12 more wood is collected; then upgrade the sawmill when 8 wood is collected.

•  Use the resource bonus and collect the available resources.

•  Upgrade to a cottage when 10 wood is collected.

•  Have one worker remove the boulders and repair the road to the exit while the other worker is clearing the areas with the gold.

•  Construct the barracks (15 wood) then upgrade the all other buildings to the max starting with the farm (15 wood); then the warehouse (15 wood); lodge (20 wood); then the sawmill (12 wood).

•  Use the resource bonus to collect the gold

LEVEL 4.7 ROCKS OF HOPE

Tasks Gather 50 Gold; Gather 50 Wood; Gather 50 Food; Remove 5 Boulders

Given Resources: 10 Gold; 10 Wood; 10 Food

Bonuses: One-plus resource; Workers work faster; Stop Clock for 10 Seconds

Strategies and Info: There is no sawmill (plenty of wood to chop), mine or market on this level. There is a fishing hut that can upgrade to a fishing enterprise that produces 3 food per cycle. Avoid clearing the center road that leads north and the road that branches off to the fisherman's cottage in the northwest. Clear and repair the road on the east that leads to the gold and the exit and the road on the west that leads to the gold. That danged dark cloud is back!

•  Construct the warehouse (10 wood).

•  When the warehouse is completed, collect the 1 wood and the 1 food that is blocking the road to the west. Wait to collect the other resources w/ the resource bonus.

•  Construct the fisherman's hut (8 wood).

•  Clear the 3 piles of trees and branches closest to the shack. One pile is to the left of the shack and the other 2 are on the road that leads to the west.

•  Upgrade the warehouse (12 wood).

•  THE DARK CLOUD WILL APPEAR, WAIT TO COLLECT THE RESOURCES UNTIL THE CLOUD IS EXPLODED.

•  After the warehouse is upgraded, collect the available resources the worker can grab w/ the resource bonus. If the worker isn't real fast...leave the resources he didn't collect while the bonus was activated until the bonus recharges.

•  Upgrade the fisherman's hut to a cottage w/ 10 wood.

•  Clear the little road extension that leads south (in front of warehouse) to a stack of wood and a gold chest to collect wood since there is no sawmill. Upgrade the warehouse (15 wood) while clearing this road.

•  Collect the available resources using the resource bonus.

•  Upgrade the fisherman's cottage to an enterprise.

•  While the resource bonus is activated, clear the portion of the road w/ branches that leads to the exit while upgrading the shack to a cottage (10 wood).

•  Have one worker clear the east road towards the exit and the other worker clear the west road towards the boulders and gold.

•  Use the resource bonus when the workers are clearing the areas w/branches to maximize the wood gathering.

•  Collect the gold using the resource bonus.

LEVEL 4.8 TORCHES:

Tasks: Light 9 Torches; Repair 3 Bridges

Given Resources: 10 Gold; 10 Wood; 10 Food

Bonuses: Workers work faster; Additional Worker; Workers walk faster

Strategies and info: This level can be quite challenging. First of all there is no warehouse; therefore there is no more than 20 of each resource at a time. There are 7 boulders that need to be removed costing 12 gold and 10 food ea. Three bridges costing 15 wood and 10 food ea. Plus all buildings need to be upgraded to the maximum in order to produce the resources fast enough. AND a Temple and a Barracks need to be constructed at 15 wood ea. The torches cost 3 gold and 5 food to light. There is no mine or market so the coffer and the collections are the only gold sources. Collect the resources as soon as they become available if there aren't 18+ in inventory so they will replenish. Also the entire scene needs to be cleared and repaired in order to light the torches.

Oh, here's an important note the ghost in the southwest is only blocking the 2 roads that branch by him; the road that is south of the ghost and the road behind the ghost. This means the main road running north and south on the west side can be cleared before building the temple. The other ghost blocks the exit road which can wait to be cleared.

If your preference is to not follow the walkthrough step by step...here's the strategy. Construct the fisherman's hut first then the sawmill and upgrade them to the max while clearing the starting area. Then clear the road sections in every direction possible (much like the bonus levels) collecting resources as soon as they replenish.

Use the additional worker bonus at the beginning of the level then use the fast walking or additional worker bonus the rest of the level depending on your preference. The workers can collect the replenished gold fast when the walking bonus is used.

Here's the steps:

•  Construct the fisherman's hut (8 wood).

•  Collect the food and the wood to the east of the shack.

•  Construct the sawmill (5 wood).

•  Collect the rest of the available resources, except for one gold chest as it will bring the gold count over 20.

•  Remove the snow pile in front of the bear to the east.

•  Collect the wood in front of the bear.

•  Upgrade the fisherman's hut (10 wood).

•  Remove the snow pile in front of the ghost behind the shack.

•  Collect the gold chest that wasn't picked up earlier.

•  Remove the 2 wood piles to the right of the farm site while upgrading the sawmill (8 wood).

•  Use the extra worker bonus and remove the 2 wood piles in front of the ghost behind the shack while removing the 2 snow piles and collecting the food in the very southwest corner.

•  More resources should become available, collect them.

•  Then light the torch in the southwest corner then repair the bridge in the southwest.

•  Collect the wood behind the bridge; then upgrade the fisherman's hut to a fishing enterprise (13 wood).

•  Remove the wood piles behind the bridge while using the extra worker bonus collect the additional resources and light the first torch behind the bridge.

•  Construct the barracks (15 wood) and remove the 2 snow piles going north on the west road behind the bridge.

•  Collect the 3 gold chests in front of the 2 boulders on the west road; then remove one of the boulders. The extra worker bonus should appear before long; activate the worker bonus and start removing the wood piles on the east side that are to the right of the sawmill where the bear was located while upgrading the sawmill to the max (12 wood).

•  Upgrade the shack to a cottage (10 wood).

•  Have one worker remove the next boulder on the east road while the other worker lights the middle torch of the east road and clears most of the east road while constructing the farm (10 wood) and then the temple (15 wood). Don't light any more torches until all the roads have been cleared.

•  Collect the wood resource on the east road then remove the branches; then collect the wood pile on the exit road where the ghost was and upgrade the farm.

•  Collect the gold while using the fast walking bonus and remove the boulders on the southeast branch road where the ghost was the other worker will still be working on the east road while upgrading the farm to the max.

•  Upgrade to a lodge (20 wood) and start clearing the exit road while removing the snow piles on the east road.

•  Collect the gold using the fast walking bonus and remove the boulders on the extension roads off the east road while clearing the exit road and repairing the bridges.

•  Light the remaining torches.

LEVEL 4.9 DETOUR

Tasks: Reinforce 8 ice sections

Given Resources: 10 Gold; 10 Wood; 10 Food

Bonuses: Workers walk faster; One-plus resource

Strategies and Info: There are 2 bridges to repair (15 wood 10 food); 8 boulders to remove (12 gold 10 food) and the 8 sections of ice to reinforce (8 wood 5 food) to reach the exit.

This level can be completed before nightfall if distractions don't get in your way. One key to quick completion is to construct and upgrade the warehouse to the max as quickly as possible. There's no need to build the barracks as the road the bear is blocking doesn't offer much. The long winding road in the center of the scene that leads to the 3 chests of gold, takes too long and is too costly to clear and repair. So build the temple and repair the bridge and roads behind the ghost. The gold chests in the northwest behind the ghost will replenish often enough to collect enough gold using the resource bonus and a completely upgraded warehouse to remove the boulders leading to the exit.

•  Construct the warehouse (10 wood).

•  After the warehouse is completed, collect the wood in front of the shack and the food that is to the north of the shack. Leave the rest of the resources and collect w/ the resource bonus later.

•  Repair the road that is to the northwest of the shack that leads to the ghost.

•  Construct the sawmill (5 wood)

•  Clear the 3 wood piles; one wood pile is on the road leading to the ghost and the other 2 are on the road leading to the bear while upgrading the warehouse (12 wood).

•  Collect all available resources using the resource bonus AFTER the warehouse is upgraded.

•  Upgrade the warehouse to the max (15 wood).

•  Repair and clear the middle extension road that has the wood pile only at the end. Don't collect the wood pile yet while upgrading the sawmill (8 wood).

•  Clear the road leading to the ghost while upgrading the sawmill to the max. (12 wood).

•  Construct the temple (15 wood).

•  Collect the available resources after the ghost is gone w/the resource bonus while constructing the farm (10 wood).

•  Repair one section and clear the branches on the road leading to the exit while upgrading the sawmill (12 wood).

•  Repair the bridge in the northwest where the ghost was.

•  Collect the available resources using the bonus.

•  Repair the 2 sections of road in the northwest behind the bridge while constructing the cottage (10 wood).

•  Just a little more wood is needed before clearing the exit road start clearing the bottom extension road off the road along the west that has the wood pile and the food at the end. The second worker should be available shortly, have one worker clear the extension road and the other worker start repairing the exit road.

•  Use the resource bonus and collect the gold chests in the northwest along w/all other resources available.

•  Upgrade the farm (15 wood) after the first 4 sections of road have been reinforced along the exit road.

•  Remove the 3 piles of branches along the exit road while upgrading to a lodge. Have one worker clear the exit road and another worker on stand-by to work on the exit road by placing the curser on the next section of exit road that needs to be cleared, when the highlighted circle turns green to the next section of road, click on it to send the other worker to clear the section. This can save several seconds as the exit road is long and curvy. Have the third worker collect the resources using the resource bonus.

•  When enough resources have been accumulated to complete the exit road, use the walk faster bonus.

LEVEL 4.10 BONUS LEVEL

Task: Collect all the gold (282 gold). You know how it's done by now!

Strategy: Clear the starting area, then send the 4 workers in different directions to clear all the gold.

LEVEL 4.11 THE ROAD HOME

Tasks: Collect 10 Keys; Repair 2 Bridges

Allotted Time: 12:02

Given Resources: 2 Gold; 4 Wood; 6 Food

Bonuses: One-plus resource; Additional Worker; Stop Clock

Strategies and Info: The keys cost 3 gold and 2 wood to collect. The dark cloud returns on this level. There is no warehouse on this level meaning no more than 20 of each resource can be accumulated at a time.

A temple (15 wood ea.) and the barracks (15 wood ea.) will need to be constructed. The entire scene will need to be cleared in order to collect all the keys. There are 10 boulders to remove (12 gold 10 food ea.); 10 sections of ice to reinforce (8 wood and 5 food ea.); 7 piles of snow to remove (3 gold 7 food ea.) and numerous trees and branches to remove.

All buildings will need to be completely upgraded.

Here's the keys to completing the game before nightfall; use the Stop Clock bonus only. This gives the resources time to cycle one time. When you use the stop clock bonus only, the game will distract you when the bonus has been charged w/ the dark cloud appearing or resources replenishing. Construct the sawmill first; and then the fishing hut. Upgrade both buildings alternately. Then construct the farm and upgrade, then the cottage. Construct the temple before you get to the ghost; upgrade the farm to max then lodge.

When clearing the roads, collect a little wood then remove some snow piles or boulders, then collect the resources as a cycle. Keep repeating this cycle as much as possible. After clearing most of the wood, clear the road to the exit. Collect the resources as they replenish unless the inventory for that resource is 18 – 20.

Collect the keys at after all the roads are cleared.

•  Collect the resources; collect the food in front of the shack first then collect the wood in front of the sawmill; then collect the remaining resources while constructing the sawmill (5 wood).

•  Clear the wood and snow piles going north on the east road until you reach the snow pile in front of the first key on the right. Construct the fishing hut (8 wood); then upgrade the sawmill (8 wood); then upgrade the fishing hut (10 wood); then upgrade the sawmill (12 wood); then upgrade the fishing hut (13 wood).

•  Remove the first boulder on the east road; then start clearing the road to the exit while constructing the farm (10 wood) and then construct the cottage (10 wood).

•  Continue to clear the road to the exit and the road and road extensions on the east while upgrading the farm (12 wood and 15 wood) and the lodge (20 wood) to the max.

•  Have one worker ready to collect the resources while the other workers clear the roads, alternate between reinforcing the roads, building a bridge or clearing trees then remove a boulder or snow pile. Wait to collect the keys until the roads are cleared.

•  Collect the keys...just a little warning, the gold chests like to replenish in front of the keys blocking access to the keys.
