Can You See What I See Cheats and Tips

Overview:

Just a bit of useless information - If you are familiar with The "I Spy" books or "Can You See What I See" books (for kids), then you already know Walter Wick's work, yes the one and the same did the photography for this game! Why they say those are children's books are beyond me, I guess because children can find the hidden stuff much better than I as adult can (go figure).

Poor Mr. Carfuffle had a slight accident and might have to close Carfuffle's Collectibles if YOU don't help him fill his orders and find the rare, hidden item and sell it at auction! Well, what are you waiting for? Get to it!

Tips & Tricks:

Zoom Feature: this game is unique in that has a ZOOM feature (yay! ). I suggest you USE the zoom feature as it DOES NOT take away from your score/time to utilize it, and trust me, you'll need it!

Searching: Many of the items are actually "part of something", in other words, a fork might actually be an arm, a tiny hammer might be held by another object, etc. I may only circle a portion of an item for large, strange shaped, or overlapping items.

Seymour: your friendly, toy, robot helper! Find him in the different levels to get EXTRA HINTS! He DOES NOT move. For example, the 2nd time you search Dinosaurs he will be in the same spot as the 1st time you searched it.

Riddles: Hmm, what can I say about riddles, a riddle is a riddle! If you get stuck, the answers are below under RIDDLES. Once you solve the riddle you will get to read Mr. Carfuffle's journal entry about the rare item and then proceed to a new mini game.

NOTE (for riddles): you can get HINTS if you find Seymour and click on him, but NOT before he prompts you! He will highlight the part of the screen where the item is hiding, after that it's up to you!

Mini Games Explained (at the end of the mini games, except the Jumble Jar, a code box will appear, for the first part of the game you can leave this blank):

  1. Jumble Jar: this gets your EXTRA HINTS. You can't access this game until you've finished the first "order" and then you can find it at the bottom right next to the journal (on the bins/order screen). You drag the objects from the jar into their matching boxes. You can only play this TEN times (you get more as you go along, but 10 is the max)!
  2. Match Game - self explanatory, match the PICTURE CARDS or COLORS (sometimes it wants you to match pictures, other times just colors).

Ending: Be sure to read the ending, there is a little surprise that will keep you playing even after you finish the game! So is it really "the end" then?

LEVELS: (I have even circled Seymour for you in case you can't find him! )

RIDDLES:

  1. IT COULD SLIP RIGHT THROUGH A NARROW SLOT, OR SHINE BRIGHT IN A RAINBOW POT.
  2. IT'S NEEDED SO A POST CAN GO, THROUGH RAIN, HAIL, SLEET, OR SNOW.
  3. IT'S A PIECE OF EIGHT FROM A TREASURE CHEST COULD THIS ONE BE AMONG THE BEST?
  4. IT SURVIVE'S TO THIS VERY DAY, IT HELPED T-REX CAPTURE PREY.
  5. ON ITS BACK, YOU'LL FIND THE STATS, OF ONE WHO CATCHES, THROWS, AND BATS.
  6. IT FASTENS ANY COAT OR VEST, THIS ONE HAD A LAURAL CREST.
  7. THEY'RE HELD IN PLACE BY NOSE AND EARS, AND HELP ONE SEE IN LATER YEARS.
  8. IT WAS MINTED WITH A PHONY DATE, IN WHAT IS NOW A US STATE.
  9. IT'S USEFUL WHEN A FORK WON'T DO, TO LIFT THINGS TO SIP OR CHEW.
  10. IT'S A PORTRAIT OF A FUTURE QUEEN, CARVED WHEN SHE WAS JUST SIXTEEN.
  11. THESE BECAME WORTH MORE THAN TEN, WHEN JESSE SIGNED THEM WITH A PEN.
  12. ITS HANDS ARE THIN. ITS FACE IS ROUND, IT'S NOTED FOR IT'S NOTED FOR ITS TICKING SOUND.

CODE BOX:
The code box doesn't really have any directions. You have to flip the blocks until you spell the correct word. It's pretty easy to decipher. Flip the blocks around until you think you have the word, if it's CORRECT, it will move them closer together and small light above and to the right of the word will turn green. However, it will not do this until you have the ENTIRE word correct. The clue to solving this is back at the very beginning of the game when you read what you needed to do to save the shop.

If you still can't figure it out, here is the ANSWER (highlight to see it):
THE RARE ITEM IS HIDDEN BEHIND LUCKY NUMBER 07
