how to win stars

I have already the train , but how can i win stars to win the ferry for example? I win tournement after tournement but no stars!? |

I have the same problem. Also in another named game I own thw stagecoach and the steamship but can not get to the train. Can anyone help???? |

You have to go to each town of the star color searching untill you'll find the star above the building go in and then you'll win it. |
