If you can't get a villager to do as you say, you should bring them to the windflutes, they will meditate if you have enough windflutes and nobody else is there.

You have to be persistent ,,,just like with real kids....over and over and over and over again. Eventually they figure out that you are the boss and do what they are supposed to do. |
