Strange Cases: The Tarot Card Mystery Review

In this game you play the role of FBI agent Claire Ellery. She has been called out to a small fishing village to help find 3 kidnapped girls. Right away you see that the local police are not going to cooperate. Someone keeps leaving you clues and Tarot Cards. The first thing you have to do is find the Tarot cards so you can get the list of objects to find. I like this game for several reasons. The graphics are great so it is easy to see. There is no time limit. It took me most of the day to complete the game, with interruptions from daily life of course, so I felt like I got my money’s worth. Plus each time you play the game there are new objects to find. Try not to stop in the middle of a chapter because it won’t save your game from that point and you will have to start the chapter over. There are unlimited hints available. You just have to wait for the hint bar to fill. You also get to go back and forth between scenes to solve the chapters which are always fun. There are nine chapters and each chapter has a mini game to play which you can skip if you wish. You have an inventory to store objects that you will need for future scenes. The storyline to me was just so-so but who cares. It’s the search that is fun. For me, this is a great game that I will play over and over. I think you will like it too. » Strange Cases: The Tarot Card Mystery Cheats, Walkthrough, & Forum |

Grandpa's Candy Factory Review

One of the best things about going to our local Mall is the candy store. All those fancy candies in the window that look like you could gain 5 pounds just by glancing at them on the way by. The only time I dare go in is at Christmas or someone’s Birthday. I am not sure but I think I gained 5 pounds just playing Grandpa’s Candy Factory. The graphics in this game are spectacular. You can almost taste all the candy and nuts as they go by on the belt. The story goes like this; Cathy is a new collage graduate and must take over the candy factory so Grandpa can retire. But his mean assistant does everything he can to gum up the works. The more levels you play the more things go wrong. In this match 3 you drag your cursor over the candies and nuts to make a match. There are a certain number of candy and nuts you must match on each level. There is a special bonus for matching 4 of a kind and some mini games to play along the way. The further you get in the game the more trouble comes your way. Play the trial and see what you think. At first I didn't really like this game, but after I played it more it started to grow on me. » Grandpa's Candy Factory Cheats, Walkthrough, & Forum |

My Kingdom for the Princess Review

Well, I admit… I was attracted to this game because of the name… I know it comes as a big surprise to all of you that I fancy myself a princess, but hey a girl’s got to have a healthy dose of self confidence. Ok so mine might be a little extreme. Anyhow, on to the game!
This game is one of those addicting time management games where you have to beat the clock or you don’t get the bonus. In this case, the bonus is an addition to my lovely castle. So of course, if I didn’t beat the time, I had to start over because I was not missing out on a chance to add turrets and walls to my castle. LOL.
So, the story is that a terrible tornado has ravaged the land and awakened the terrible fire-breathing dragon that apparently won’t go back to sleep until he’s eaten 37 people… I have no idea where that random number came from but I swear I didn’t make it up!
Now, as the princess, you have to get back to your father who is sick, but the tornado has damaged the roads and the countryside is a disaster, so you have to travel through the land and fix everything… and when I say you, I mean the peasants you command of course!
They fix roads, buildings, bridges, etc. so you can get home and do your charity work at the same time. You have to gather resources like wood and food for your people and make repairs to buildings you find along the way. Overall, this was a pretty fun game. I would have to say the only disappointing part of it was that you couldn’t queue up your tasks like you can in most time management games. So you had to pay close attention to when your peasants stopped working.
Hmmmm if only I had a real castle and peasants… but summer vacation is almost over so reality is going to hit me hard if I keep daydreaming the way I do! » My Kingdom for the Princess Cheats, Walkthrough, & Forum |

Midnight Mysteries: The Edgar Allen Poe Conspiracy Review

My family all loved to sing sad songs and tell stories. My Grandfather was a master of the scary story. He loved to gather all the young Grandkids around and tell us the scariest story he thought we could handle. We got so we knew them by heart and when he got to the really scary parts we would all yell “Don’t say it Grandpa”. But he would anyway and we would all scream then laugh and laugh. What Fun.
When I saw Edgar Allen Poe on the game site I thought of Grandpa and I just had to try it. I am glad I did because it is a great game. It is put out by the same people that created the Samantha Swift series. If you liked to play those games you will like this.
You have your special tools to look for clues, Mini games and puzzles to solve plus a great story line to go with it. Look for ravens in the scenes with the hidden objects and you get hints to help you along. It really helps when you are first starting out. Some of the scenes are a little dark but we should expect that in a Edgar Allen Poe game, right? If you click wrong too many times a mean cat comes out and scares off the raven for a few seconds. There isn't a time limit for the scenes so you can take your time. I enjoyed playing this game and hope you do too. » Midnight Mysteries: The Edgar Allan Poe Conspiracy Cheats, Walkthrough, & Forum |

World Mosaics 2 Review

In this merger of Pixelus and Soduku, you must find your way back to your own era in time by solving increasingly difficult puzzles. Once you solve the puzzle, a hidden mosaic is discovered. The mosaics take you through the Jurassic period, the Dawn of Civilization, and even the Renaissance. It’s always fun after you solve the puzzle to try and guess what the mosaic is before they reveal it to you. My tip is feel free to use the hints… there’s no penalty and you lose them if you don’t use them. » World Mosaics 2 Cheats, Walkthrough, & Forum |

Youda Sushi Chef Review and Walkthrough

OK… maybe I found this game challenging because I’m an Italian from Jersey trying to make sushi… I don’t know. We don’t grow anything on our farm like the ingredients I was playing with in Youda Sushi Chef. Lol. Where were the cheese and the tomatoes man?
Anyhow, this game is really all about memorization so maybe that was my downfall. Here’s the rundown. You are a sushi chef and you opened a new restaurant… which you get to name by the way… I thought that was pretty cool. I called mine Mama Morgan’s… again not appropriate for sushi. Oh well… So you have this recipe book that tells you how to make each different kind of sushi roll, and with every new stage, you get a new roll to make… and some of these rolls have 8 or 9 ingredients! You can always go back and check the recipe in the book, but that wastes valuable time, so the key is to really try to memorize what goes in each sushi roll.
My favorite part of this game was that when you put the wrong ingredients together, you made a beautiful brown lump with eyes and buck teeth. I can’t tell you how many lumps were rotating around on my conveyor belt when I first started playing. And, in the beginning stages, you can’t get rid of them! So I just kept looking at these little brown lumps laughing at me as they went by!
You also have a limited amount of ingredients to work with. As you start to gain money, and you use up all your ingredients making sushi rolls or little brown lumps, you have to use the phone and order more ingredients. In the beginning, you can only order one ingredient at a time. I suggest upgrading to a digital phone right away. This lets you order three at a time! Unfortunately, the more mistakes you make, you more ingredients you waste, so you have to be very careful that you get the sushi rolls right the first time! No lumps!
Overall, this game was good fun, and I gave my brain a great workout! Give it a try and let me know how many lumps you made your first time playing!
And if you get stuck, check out the great guide that Krist put together. » Youda Sushi Chef Cheats, Walkthrough, & Forum |

Townopolis Review
|

Normally we only do positive reviews on this site. We don't like wasting space to give bad reviews, we simply just don't review it if we don't like it. I have to say, though, I really did not enjoy Townopolis. I had really high hopes - it looked like a sort of updated version of SimCity mixed with Time Management. Maybe that was the pitch to the executives. However, it fell far short for me. One thing that turned me off in the beginning was the undercurrent of suburban homogeneity that game implied - everyone wants to live in big-box, upper-middle class land, where everyone demands a security system on their home or they aren't happy. And God forbid someone should have to live near a post office or shopping center. The concept of mixed-use was clearly not in the scope of these city planners.
Not that there is anything wrong with suburbia, but it would have been fun in the context of the game to be able to create more urban environments as well.
Besides the message of the game be a little tweaked, it was really the gameplay that ultimately didn't engage me. I often found myself just sitting there waiting for money to accumulate, so in that sense, it wasn't very fun. I also didn't like that you once you bought a permit, you had to purchase it again later, especially when they were pretty expensive.
So, sorry Townopolis. Mission failed. » Townopolis: Gold Cheats, Walkthrough, & Forum |

Magic Encyclopedia Moon Light Review

Game Review: Magic Encyclopedia
Hello? Is there anyone there? I can barely see the words I’m typing cause I’m been squinting just inches from my computer screen trying to find these darn pieces to the Magic Encyclopedia game. Judging by my poor performance, there’s a good chance glasses may be in my near future. Lol. Seriously though this game frustrated me, which as you all know means I can’t stop playing it till I win! It was great in the beginning of each board. I find all the easy pieces first, but it’s those elusive couple of pieces that bother me!
Wait. If you haven’t played the game, you have no idea what I’m talking about do you? OK, here’s the deal. You play a young girl named Katrina, and just like me on the weekends, she’s looking to put off studying as long as possible. Lucky for her, her brother Roger sends her a message that his magic professor Fobros has gone missing… cue the dramatic music! Anyhow after careful deliberation… study… adventure… study adventure… you responsibly choose adventure! That a girl!
So you journey through the game by going to different scenes and finding pieces of artifacts that will help you along the way. It’s easy peasy at first… you find all of the things you need in that room. Then it starts getting tricky by making you go forward to one room, then back to another. This whole time you are looking for the peace gem, which can apparently help stop your professor from turning into a werewolf… hmmm where have I heard this plot before… it sounds familiar. Oh well, anyhow… it’s tons of frustrating and satisfying fun that’s kept me busy for quite some time. Although, I admit if it weren’t for that little hint button I would not be as far as I am in the game.
So gamers, talk to me. If you've played, how far have you gotten? And am I the only one that needs hints??? Well… am I??!!
And if you get really stuck, then check out Jasper's guide. » Magic Encyclopedia: Moon Light Cheats, Walkthrough, & Forum |
