Hi all! I finally got a guide done between being sick, midterms, research papers, and everything else! The game is called Samantha Swift and the Roses of Athena. This is a neat little game, with all the graphics hand drawn. It's also a fun game with an intriguing story and lots of mini-puzzles. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and I hope you do too! While I've been missing in action, about a dozen new HOG's have been released at BFG! I've already demo'd each of them and wrote a quick review on them all for you and... chose my next game guide to write! Well, I'm having trouble with that electrical device I have to assemble (Guatemala). Can you give me some hints on it. I managed to lit up four lights, but there's six of them, or so. Couldn't go further. thanks very much |

You need to put the marbles on the ground behind the guy with the nightstick. Hope that helps! |

Anne, I am unable to go to Level 2 to pick up the ball & return to Level 1 to give to the boy who will then give me the marbles. When I first go to this level, I find the camera, flash it at the bird & pick up the feather. I then immediately go to Level 2 to pick up the ball & scoop, but it won't let me return to Level 1. It says I must pick up all the remaining items on Level 2. Which I can not because I do not have the marbles to pick up the night stick. HELP! What I am doing wrong? Lastly when you mess up, is there anyway to back up to the beginning of the level you are on? Or do you have to start from the beginning? Thanks much! Eckere |

Eckere, no, if you mess up you cannot go back to a level, you have to start over. I know this because when I was writing the guide I had the original release which had a glitch halfway through and to fix it you had to start over! Oy Now, as for the level you're stuck on, did you collect everything in level 1? It is the only reason I can think of that might be stopping you. You also have to pick up every single object on your list, not just the items to be used. Let me know if that helps! Anne |

On Level 1, I collect everything except the marble & brooch (hidden items) as I need the ball and scoop pm Level 2 to bring back to Level 1. So after I get everything on Level 1 except those two hidden items, I go to Level 2. I find everything on the list and use the feather on the boy to pick up hidden items of gold and watch. I do not have the tool to pick up the nightstick. I am unable to go to level one to give the ball to the boy (to get the hidden object of marbles) or the scoop on the fruit to get the brooch. What I am doing wrong. Thank you for helping this frustrated player. Eckerte |

Eckere, I've had the same problem picking up the nightstick at the marketplace, but now I finally found the way out. Instead of clicking on the far signpost in Level 2, try clicking on one close to you (there are two signposts!). That way you'll be taken back to the market Level 1. |

Eckerte, I believe Nest may have come up with the solution. At times the enter/exit doors can be tricky in that game and I never thought of that as a problem. You have hover to near the left side of the screen until it lights up to return to level 1, not the right side with the sign post. Thanks Nest for that solution! Anne |

Click on the money and then the big plastic bottle.. throwing the money will knock the bottle over and distract the guard |

Anne, I've been on two web-sites and try to find a way to beat level 8 (puzzle) with four panels. I'm stuck and the walkthrough could not help me. The bars on both horizontal and vertical turn yellow, one panel turns green and the center bar also turns green. Every time I tried to slide the center bar to cover the green panel, it slid back to the center. When that happens, Samantha kept saying "Use the symbols to unlock the door". I tried but still couldn't figure it out. Please help!!!! |
