Drawn: The Painted Tower Walkthrough

Hey gamers! It's been so rainy here that there wasn't much to do, besides chores. During my spare time I decided to write a guide, of course. I was going through some old games I had purchased and Drawn: The Painted Tower caught my eye. I decided to try it and as soon as I started it I couldn't believe that I hadn't played it yet! Or better yet, written a guide! So, that's what I did!

Drawn: The Painted Tower is the first in a series developed by Big Fish Games. The story line is very unique. You are sent into a tower full of paintings and your goal is to reach the top and save a very magical little girl named Iris. In order to reach the top you must first enter various paintings along the way and interact with them. It's not just the story line that grabbed my attention, but the graphics/artwork. It is sensational! In fact, artwork from the Drawn series was showcased at E3 this year where the artist won an "Into the Pixel" award! The ambiance in the game was also wonderful. The rain, the sizzling sound of the fire, etc. were all so very realistic. The voice work was very good too. There is really only one main character who does most of the talking and I just loved his voice. It was very fitting for his character. This is a solid adventure game, not a hidden object game. I enjoy these types of games just as much as the latter though. The game itself isn't all that easy. I got stuck more than a few times and had to wrack my brain or use hints to continue on. The puzzles range from easy to difficult, but I would say the majority are pretty easy. The ending, of course, is a cliffhanger since this is an ongoing series. Yes, Drawn: Dark Flight, the second in the series will be my next guide and I can't wait to get started. In fact, I think I'll start... now! Well, right after I call Curtis and talk for a bit that is. Until next time, happy gaming and if you haven't purchased this game already... buy it! You will not regret it!
