Christmas Wonderland 2 Review

What? You don’t think I like Christmas? So I tried Christmas Wonderland 2… so what? After the last few days I needed something cheery. Plus all of my family is crammed into our house so I needed a game that would be acceptable for my younger cousins since they insist on crowding around me everywhere I go… apparently Modern Warfare 3 is not an acceptable game… and it would probably make them cry and get me in deep trouble with my abuela…

What? You don’t think I like Christmas? So I tried Christmas Wonderland 2… so what? After the last few days I needed something cheery. Plus all of my family is crammed into our house so I needed a game that would be acceptable for my younger cousins since they insist on crowding around me everywhere I go… apparently Modern Warfare 3 is not an acceptable game… and it would probably make them cry and get me in deep trouble with my abuela… Anyhow, so yes I played Christmas Wonderland 2. After showing up late to my house for the holidays because we broke down on the way home… oh yeah… did anyone mention that yet? I didn’t think so… well, on the way home, Anne’s piece of junk starting spewing smoke, and I swear I saw fire, so we had to pull over at some Pea Soup restaurant and call AAA to find out it was going to take a day to get the part we needed… so we had to stay overnight in a hotel room where the toilet was broken and I swear it smelled like cheese. Anyhow… needless to say it was not a pleasant experience and my mother was not happy that I missed some of the holiday festivities, so now I’m sitting here playing Christmas Wonderland 2 with my cousins as payback… sigh. So enough of my life’s never-ending drama… let’s talk about the game… it is a big hit here in the house. I am constantly being asked to turn it on. And even I have to admit it’s a pretty cute game. Definitely family friendly and one of those games that many can enjoy and play together. It’s not your typical hidden object game. There’s not much of a story so don’t look for anything super exciting from it. But it is a good series of hidden object scenes and puzzles that are all Christmas themed. You go from searching in Santa’s workshop to a skyline, to the mall looking for objects, playing fun puzzles like putting the reindeer in their correct stall or putting together a model plane. The graphics are colorful and pretty festive, a crowd pleaser in this household. None of the games are too challenging so it’s perfect to play with little ones. And there’s a handy hint button in case we can’t find an object and their eyes are starting to fill up with tears… I call it the emergency crying button. Anyhow, it’s a great game to have on while family’s around if you’re looking for something to keep certain members of your family busy while you sneak out and play something a bit more, well… explosive… Happy Holidays everyone!
